The Hire Place UK are providers of a diverse range of hire and related services to the construction industry and are a part of the Places for People group of companies.
From the late 1990’s, not having been able to get the quality of service, at the standards we required from elsewhere, we decided to do it for ourselves, and our depot in Croydon was established. Originally operating solely for the benefit of our own projects. It soon became clear that we had the capacity to offer our first-class service to other companies, and in 2006 we supplied our first external hire orders.
Having expanded rapidly, we first moved to a 1-acre facility in Reigate during July of 2012, then opened a second depot location in Luton. We moved to our current headquarters in January 2023, and from there and our Luton Depot, we provide a wide variety of hire services for the building industry currently covering Greater London and the Home Counties, across the Southeast, East and Central Regions of the UK with plans to expand further.
